I say 8 teams. You cant make a bracket with 6 teams unless 2 teams have a bye. I also agree that the playoffs should be more that 1 week to ensure no funny buisness. I've always been a fan of the 7-game series.
If you really want a bye, you could have a Pre-MarchMadness game for the 8th and 9th place teams to play Duke in the 1st round and get crushed. It would make it 9 teams, but the first playoff week would just be those 2 teams fighting for 8th place. It gives us a reason to strive for 1st place. Whatever you guys think.
